London, October 2026 — Our team at Dominique London had the pleasure of attending the global premiere of the Cohiba Talismán on Wednesday, October 7th.
The evening in London marked the official start of Habanos, S.A.’s "Year of Cohiba," kicking off a global series of events to celebrate 60 years of the world's most recognized Cuban cigar brand.
The gathering brought together around 400 guests, including Habanos representatives, international journalists, trade partners, and official UK distributor Hunters & Frankau. Attendees explored a historical display of rare Cohiba releases, enjoyed cocktails from The Dalmore and had a first chance to try the new cigar.
Originally introduced in 2017 as a Limited Edition, the Cohiba Talismán is now returning as a permanent addition to the lineup. It joins the regular portfolio as the ninth size in the Línea Clásica range, which was the first line created when the brand debuted in 1966.
Rolled in the Sublimes No. 1 vitola with a pigtail cap, it measures 154 mm in length with a 54 ring gauge. The blend offers a medium-to-full flavour profile with an estimated smoking time of 60 to 90 minutes.
As with all Línea Clásica cigars, it is rolled by hand using long-filler leaves from the San Juan y Martínez and San Luis areas in Vuelta Abajo, Pinar del Río, featuring Cohiba's traditional extra barrel-fermentation process.
The release also introduces updated packaging that will gradually be implemented across the entire Línea Clásica line.
Packed in 10-count unvarnished wooden boxes, the new design incorporates an NFC chip embedded in the internal label. This allows buyers to scan the box with a smartphone to verify authenticity and access product details online.
Each cigar also carries a distinct foot band printed with the Talismán name for easy identification.
Speaking at the event, Jemma Freeman, Executive Chair of Hunters & Frankau, highlighted London's long history of hosting major Cohiba debuts, pointing back to earlier launches like the Línea 1492 in 1993, the Siglo VI, and the Behike line in 2010.
José María López Inchaurbe, Vice-President of Development at Habanos, S.A., noted that the Talismán is the first of several new releases planned throughout this 60th anniversary year.

Following the main launch in London, we hosted a private gathering for our clients titled "The Road to Talismán" at our 26 Pall Mall boutique.
Guests enjoyed an intimate evening tasting the new Cohiba Talismán alongside vintage Champagne, 12-year-old Eminente Rum, and paired dishes.
